Most people who recognize me probably know me only as wizzard. I do have a real name. The evolution of a nickname. Wizards of the past, and perhaps the future.

Been an artist all my life. Just started to call myself one a couple decades ago. What do you do with a 10 gallon acquarium full of pencils? Or several 5 gallon buckets of empty nitrous oxide containers? A normal person looks for a place to sell or dump them. An artist turns them into something. Thus started A Thousand Things. Before the blog and social neworking nerds had their own domains, wizzard. com has giving away free images to all visitors. Visit the Way-Back-Machine for wizzard. Donate to keep the art flowing. I work a day job and it is a rare thing for me to actually get money for any of the art I do. I sit in a cubical pushing electrons around to finance my OTHER life as an artist.

The galleries were my first attempt at organizing this site. And are sort of remnants of the past. A remnant of old structure. Look around the site and find many more examples of the types of art that began in these pages. Making art is the way I learn. Before it was easy, I liked making 3D images. I call myself an artist, but I really enjoy design.

Was one of the few site on the internet to get reasonable quality images of the earth for free. Found my site in the top 20 for many years. A little selection of globes images.

What an arrogant section title! Beware those claiming they bring knowledge. That said, I started wizzard. com over 15 years ago, at least in part, to pass on some of the knowledge I gathered from teaching and some of the workshops I went to while teaching. I keep hoping that a magic solution will come along that will eat the books and notes I have in my library a crap out intelligible files in html and organized into sub directories.
